Corvus Belli's Infinity has been out for quite a while in Europe. We evaluated this game over the last couple of months and had our intrepid Tower Guard Mike H, paint them up nicely for us.
Saturday morning our new display will go into place and the new product will be on the shelves next week. We ordered many sku's and the best the line has to offer. We will be hosting some demos, events, and working on the terrain specific to the game line over the summer. So check it out!
Warmachine/Hordes 50pt Steamroller Tournament
When: May 8th 2010. Registration starts at 12:30. First pairings start at 1.
No late entries excepted.
Cost $7
Special Events for tournament. The slightly increased entry fee will be used to cover the increased prize support and Dinner. That's right we said food. All players will be fed a dinner of grilled Chili Cheese Hot Dogs, Chips, and drinks.
We will use the standard steamroller timed turns. Players will bring two lists. We will play a set number of rounds based on the steamroller rules which is based on player turnout. Players need to bring all their tokens, markers, cards for all your models, plus rules. Hordes players must bring their own print outs for their cards. If you need to print at the store then you must pay for the paper usage. Lists should be made ahead of time and must be turned in when paying the entry fee. Players need to have their models at least assembled so that it is clear as to what the model is.
Prize Support: We will be using the old school Steamroller Prize support. That means 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place coins and certificates. We will also be giving out Best in Faction Certificates for ALL factions. The first place winner will also get a free T-shirt of their choice from the new shirts at Tower. The winner will also get to have their name placed on the new Steamroller Champions Trophy that will be taking residence at Tower of Games for ultimate bragging rights.
We will also be doing a players choice award for the best painted army that is fielded. The winner of that will receive a certificate and his choice of a Tower t-shirt from the new shirts.
And we will have door prizes for the following items. We have a new copy of the Warmachine Prime Rules that is signed by the creators and game designers. I will also be personally donating several board games that will be randomly given out.
Now for you players who are thinking I am not coming out to play in that tournament I would never win well your wrong. Every player who registers will be given one entry into the raffle for the door prizes. Then every player who loses his round will be given another entry. That means players who are having a bad run on the table will have an increased chance to still win something from the door prizes. Every player who fields their entire lists with fully assembled and painted models will also receive another entry into the raffle.

We are dedicated to the coolest gaming experience in Hampton Roads. For 2010 we have buffed up our monthly lock-ins to include themed food events at each one. On the last Saturday of every month starting at 7:00pm come join us for all night long gaming!
We have added in more organization to our TowerCon nights with scheduled gaming events like (but not limited to) MtG All Night Triathlons, Warmachine & Horde Steampunk Wars, Games Workshop 40K game play, board games like Settlers, Descent, RPG sessions (Shadowrun and World of Darkness)...you name it we host it at the TowerCon event.
For each TowerCon you can walk in the door as a guest and pay $5.00 giving you access to all of the food, all of the gaming, and free Soda/Water all night long. If you are an Adventurer member you only pay $3.00 to get in but here is the COOLEST part - if you bring a themed dish for the potluck dinner portion you get in FREE! Just bring something to share with others and we buy your drinks and HARD CORE gaming all night long.
Bring out your old games that you just can never find gamers for - its a good bet you will find gamers at the monthly TowerCon. We seat 80+ in our store including a 15 seat Cyber Cafe which is also open all night long and included FREE for each TowerCon event. This has been amazingly successful. Come join us!
